Support Letter

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share that I have been blessed with the opportunity to take part in a discipleship training program hosted by YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Chico, California this upcoming September.

YWAM is a global missionary organization that aims to make Jesus known among the nations by raising up new disciples. The Crossroads program is catered towards people 26 and up to develop your calling into missions and ministry. In this program I will be spending 12 weeks studying God's word and his character through lectures, discipleship, worship, and prayer, and then I will be setting out into the world to share the gospel and serve in God's plan for 10 weeks.

I had always wanted an opportunity to go on a long term missions trip, but I had not expected God to give me this calling right after graduation. I had an amazing job opportunity that I thought God was leading me towards and I was excited to move onto the next phase of my life. As I was preparing myself to enter into a new life transition, I made a promise to God that if this job opportunity did not work out I would look into serving at a missions trip. Much to my surprise, I was unfortunately turned down from the job. After months of confusion, prayer, and deliberation, I remembered an amazing sister in Christ of mine, Kristin Song, went on a discipleship training program at YWAM years ago and reached out to see if this was a possibility for me. Once I met up with her, Kristin answered a lot of doubts and worries I had about going and heavily encouraged me to apply to the Crossroads program at YWAM. As I continued to pray and seek answers from God about this decision, I felt as if He was continuously calling me towards missions. Even now, I still am not sure why God is leading me towards this path, but I am expectant and eager to see how God will provide in the future.

Ever since I became a Christian, God has always guided me to the road less traveled by leaving only one door open for me. From choosing what college I attended, to serving in various church ministries and missions while setting aside any lofty career goals I had for myself. He has challenged me to put God first in all things in life and to put aside my fears and doubts and seek His kingdom.
